Elijah

Today I felt inspired to write an article on the Spirit of Elijah. In my search of credible references, I felt the Holy Spirit testify to me that in doing vicarious works for my father's mother, I have opened up the way for her to influence my father as she and my father have influenced me. That is pretty much exactly what I blog about today.

The Spirit of Elijah
"Joseph compared Moroni’s teaching to a similar prophecy by Malachi—that Elijah would come again. 10 We know that Elijah did return—at least twice—after Malachi’s promise. At Christ’s transfiguration, Elijah appeared on the mount to Peter, James, and John. 11 At the Kirtland Temple, April 3, 1836, Elijah appeared to the Prophet and Oliver Cowdery and said, “The keys of this dispensation are committed into your hands."

The Hearts of the Children Shall Turn
"Elder Russell M. Nelson has taught that the Spirit of Elijah is “a manifestation of the Holy Ghost bearing witness of the divine nature of the family” (“A New Harvest Time,” Ensign, May 1998, 34). This distinctive influence of the Holy Ghost draws people to identify, document, and cherish their ancestors and family members—both past and present.
"The Spirit of Elijah affects people inside and outside of the Church. However, as members of Christ’s restored Church, we have the covenant responsibility to search out our ancestors and provide for them the saving ordinances of the gospel. “They without us should not be made perfect” (Hebrews 11:40; see also Teachings: Joseph Smith, 475). And “neither can we without our dead be made perfect” (D&C 128:15)."

Learning the Doctrine
"I testify that the spirit of Elijah is touching the hearts of many of Father’s children throughout the world, causing the work for the dead to accelerate at an unprecedented pace."

After the Fire a Still Small Voice
"I wish you to understand this subject, for it is important; and if you receive it, this is the spirit of Elijah, that we redeem our dead, and connect ourselves with our fathers which are in heaven, and seal up our dead to come forth in the first resurrection; and here we want the power of Elijah to seal those who dwell on earth to those who dwell in heaven. This is the power of Elijah and the keys of the kingdom of Jehovah” (Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, sel. Joseph Fielding Smith [1976], 337–38)."

We are all doing the work of our father who art in heaven. Someone has to play the role of villian so God can shine as brightly as his son.God had more daughters than he had sons but the world doesn't respect them as well as it needs to. Women are wonderful. Where else can you plant seeds of love that grow so beautifully. His garden was Eden, his gift was Eve. Why would God punish his daughter for becoming what he created her to be? Use common sense, She was the temptation. You don't punish the garden for tempting you, do you?

I had to work for the priesthood that I have. My wife was BORN with the keys of creation. the only man ever born who has those very same keys is Jesus Christ. Eve was not temptation, she was a gift to Adam. a helpmeet means EQUAL partner. her power is different than Adam's but it is neither lesser or greater for they are EQUALS. My Father in Heaven has a wife too... she is my celestial mother. I'm sure I blogged about this already, but I'll comment again with scriptures... Next time let us please keep comments on topic, thanx.
